Description

Cal-Mag is a carefully formulated supplement that is used is commonly used to buffer coco peat bricks prior to planting. Buffering is a process whereby the growing medium is stabilized (getting rid of excess waste and supplementing useful nutrients,) in order to allow for easy uptake from the plant roots.

How to use

To buffer a 5kg coco brick:

• In a large container, mix 50g of CalMag with 20L of water until completely dissolved.
• Soak washed coco brick in solution for 12 hours.
• Drain excess water from expanded coco peat.
• Rinse coco peat with pH balanced water.

As a soil drench for Calcium or Magnesium deficiency:

• Mix 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) per 5L of water until dissolved. 
• Saturate growing medium with solution.
• TIP: It is extremely unlikely to have a magnesium deficiency in soil.
